Digital Bus aims to close the current digital gap observed by small and mid-sized operators – currently a rudimentary manual booking and info system prevails with inefficient data, poor management and impoverished user service due to lack of information and transparency

Description

We live in a fast, dynamic world where innovative services and disruptive technologies are remoulding our daily lives in leisure, work and mobility. The adoption rate of new services and technologies is a challenge for mobility providers, cities and citizens due to ill-adapted processes, specific skill sets, lack of training, red tape and the overall pace at which innovation and technology is evolving.

Digital Bus will initiate the democratisation of innovation and new technologies, namely the IoT, that are being currently being deployed exclusively by large PTOs and evolve Nemi into a digital tool within the economic and technological reach of small and medium sized operators; onboarding technology that makes public transport service more relevant to passengers, often neglected in an operator driven environment; improve quality of service to attract new market segments and usage moments and disincentivise private vehicle use. Digital Bus, as an inclusive framework, will also focus on safety and respond to PT usage barriers for more vulnerable collectives with the end goal of accelerating take-up of PT; being more accessible and better adapted to user needs and usage moments for low-density areas and vulnerable users, ultimately serving as an AI tool to detect potential demand and create an improved and matched offering to help redefine regular services.
